Walking around UBC, and Eating...

Fatmine and I got another bubble tea fix. Sometimes this happens way too often. I got a matcha smoothie :D Yeeees that stuff is great.

I believe this was my first attempt at making pizza in a mug. It turned out okay; I used pumpkin tomato sauce, brown rice flour, coconut-based vegan cheese, and kale. Yummy :))

I stopped by Liquid Nutrition because I was feeling soooo unhealthy D: So I got my protein and vitamin fix here. I think this was strawberry banana flavored...they have these creative titles that I can never remember. I just see the ingredients, and then I think, "alright, that stuff is good for me right now, so I'll have it."
I haven't been to Palate in a while, so I'm back! I got the wrap and soup combo for about $8? It really filled me up. The soup was extremely hot, and the egg salad wraps were a bit cold...I think I should've dipped the wraps in the soup. Man, what a great opportunity...time to come back here just to try it, lol.

Went to Flipside with music buds and got a veggie burger :D I love their veggie burgers; you can see all of the ingredients embedded into the patty, and the quinoa is really something. This place serves one of my favorite veggie burgers.

Miscellaneous Adventures: Chatime, Lucky's Doughnuts

My job is to hand our coupons and candy after our concert got cancelled. No one wants the licorice, lol.

Fatmine was kind enough to share these top-notch doughnuts. All my life, I never really paid attention to how to spell doughnut, and usually I become pretty inconsistent. Both "donut" and "doughnut" are accepted spellings, just fyi.
This was the thumbprint cookie doughnut. When I first looked at it, I was like, what is this...but yeah, thumbprint makes sense. The bottom is filled so that the filling in the hole doesn't come through. It tasted really good. The best part about these doughnuts is that the batter is really good; it tastes and feels like good quality sweet bread, unlike the crappy emptiness of cheap doughnuts.
This is the lavender and earl grey doughnut, which has some citrus zest :P The lavender is in the frosting, and the earl grey in is the filling.

Fatmine and I also went to Chatime, my favorite bubble tea place. I had my third attempt at trying the order the chocolate banana smoothie..I can probably make it myself, lol. I got Lychee yogurt this time :)

Fatmine got roasted milk tea, which is one of their top options. There's a faint roasted rice taste that's just heartwarming <3

Study Buddies...? Burnaby, Commercial Drive (Kensington), Mount Pleasant

Went to study (not) with Pizza Guy at Tealips :P (Jk, I didn't study at all).

I got the avocado sandwich and soup combo. The sandwich was pretty nice; the avocado was nice and ripe, the bread was super crunchy, and the lettuce was pretty fresh. The soup was not that amazing...tasted like canned stuff. Plus, it was chicken soup .__. I forgot to let them know that I'm vegetarian.

We went across the street for some sweets, and I got two gingerbread cookies with pistachios and two buckwheat quinoa cookies for Fatmine and myself. The buckwheat cookie was kind of dry, but I liked both anyways :P

Matchsticks looked like a super hipster place that I had to visit, so I went. I was super tired that morning, so I ordered a cute latte (the coffee was super strong), and a croissant for Fatmine.

Fatmine and I also went to Prado Cafe :D Oh man, this place is so great. This is Fatmine's pecan, honey, and ricotta cheese waffle. I tried a little; the cheese works so well with the honey. It really balances everything out.

I ordered the vegetarian breakfast wrap, which comes with salsa and sour cream. It smelled and tasted a bit like curry, and the egg and chickpeas were really tasty with the curry. Honestly, I could've ate it without the sauce, but I love sour cream and salsa :D

Cartem's Donuterie was also nearby, so...why not :P This place has really good quality donuts. The batter tastes pretty wholesome, and the flavors are always a surprise. Fatmine and I got a root beer float donut :O It really did taste like root beer, I was amazed.
I think this was the salted caramel? Yummmmmmm
And I think this was the earl grey donut, or lavendar...all I remember was that it had flower petals.
