Tipsy Cow: The Best Fries I've Ever Had

Although the prices were a bit high, I think the food is worth the price because of the quality. The milkshakes are really nice; I can't finish one because they're super rich. They have the classic flavors (chocolate, vanilla, strawberry) and also some very different ones, like this orange cream one :D

Also, the fries are amazing; plus, they're served with organic ketchup. They're not too oily, and they're super crispy. The only downside is that they get soggy when you pack them :( it's much better to eat as much of them as you can when they're hot.

Santiupo got the Seatown burger, which has dill sauce and salmon.

My burger was called Black Magic. It's has a soft black bean patty.

This burger is called The Experience. You can also get your burgers lettuce wrapped to cut down on the carbs.

Din Tai Fung: :(

I used to come here a lot when it first opened, but not so much anymore. They raised the prices, and they've skimped on the amount of food that they serve :( There's a dumpling place in Canada called Dinesty, and I think that place is better because they serve more options, and you get a better bang for your buck.

Still, I can't say that Din Tai Fung's food tastes bad. It's still pretty good.
This is the seaweed and bean curd salad. It's served with sesame oil and soy sauce.

These are vegetarian dumplings. Compared to Dinesty, they aren't packed with as much filling. :((((

Chaat N Roll: I now like Indian Food (a lot)

A long time ago, I didn't really like Indian food because I didn't like spicy stuff. When I went to Canada, I gave it another shot, but I only became neutral about it. For some reason, this place changed my mind...I'm not really sure why, hahah. Maybe I just needed some time to warm up to this place and turn my mind around.

According to the workers, you eat this after you eat to freshen your breath. It's quite strong.

Santiupo told me that it's culturally correct to eat these with one hand. I'm not sure why, but I was struggling to rip pieces off. The sauce was good, so that makes up for my food struggles :P

They also serve rose lassi :D I've had mango lassi before, but not rose. I really liked it; it was like rose milk tea, but with yogurt.

I ordered the daily vegetarian dahlia :D I LOVED this; it was almost like sampling.

Oasis: DURIAN SMOOTHIE!

Although this was $4, this drink completed my day :P I came back from watching Ray Chen, so I was pretty much freaking out the entire time I was here. For some reason, the Oasis near the University of Washington (U-District) doesn't have this on their menu *gasp*. Therefore, I can only get my durian cravings here, or at an Asian market that's super far away from my house.

What I like about this smoothie is that they use real durian. In fact, people know that someone ordered a durian drink because there's a moment when the entire place just smells like durian. I guess it bothers others, but not me :D

My Dad's Birthday: Kiki's Bakery

Kiki's bakery is probably the only place where someone can get Asian bakery items in the Bellevue/Redmond area. There are Asian bakeries in downtown in Seattle, but I mean...so far awaaaay.

My dad doesn't like sweets, so the only kind of cake that he's willing to accept is some type of fruit cake. He likes mangoes, so my mom got a mango cake for him. The order even came with plates, candles, utensils, and a "happy birthday!" sign. So cute.

Family times: Kukai

If you haven't realized, going to Kukai is pretty much a family ritual now. The main reason we come here is because my brother's cello lessons are so close by.

I decided to change my usual order and take some items from the izakaya menu (basically, the "snack" menu). I got tempura and vegetarian onigiri :P The best part about this onigiri is that the nori sheets are so big; that way, people can hold the rice ball in more than just one place...and there's less of a chance that the nori will become soggy :F

Goodbye Whistler: Timberwolf Restaurant & Lounge

I'm kind of surprised that this place doesn't show up on Zomato. The food is really good here, and the prices are ridiculously high. The presentation is also nice; they serve fruit with the eggs Benedict :D So nice.

The sandwich and salad also looks nutritious and presentable.

Going Home: Tai Hing Congee + Noodle House

Hong Kong style :P I gotta say, the food is pretty on point here. The reviews that you see for this place are pretty average, but I think that's mostly due to service and whatnot. I mean, you're in Richmond...in a Chinese restaurant. What do you expect, lol.

I also love the fact that she gave us Hoisin and sesame sauce :P I love sesame sauce; I put it with almost everything.

Trip Down Memory Lane: "Canadian Jamba Juice"

While I was back at UBC, I decided to stop by Booster Juice :P According to my brother, he thinks it's better than Jamba Juice because of the expanded options and boosts that they provide. To me, I think of it as an American Jamba Juice, hahah.

I got the superfood smoothie with goji berries :P

Whistler: Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory

So...the chocolate factory was right next to the zip lining place...um...I made some poor decisions.
Not only was I sugar high while zip lining but uh...I kind of drank a bit of black coffee (actually, a lot). In short, I was pretty much cray.

I don't know what this was called, but it's basically chocolate covered S'mores with oreos on top and caramel tucked in between the graham crackers. The edges tasted like Twix :P I love Twix, hahah.

We also got some candied apples. Oh man, the sugar.

Whistler: Great Glass Elevator Candy Shop and Beavertails

The candy they have here is definitely cheaper that the in the states. They also have different candy :D I've never heard of honey sips until I came here. I got a cherry, peach, and grape flavored honey sip. Mmmm.

One of my friends recommended that I come to Beavertails for the "beaver tails". It's basically a flattened doughnut. I couldn't finish it because it was so sweet *__*

We also ordered a veggie dog, a veggie burger, and poutine. Classic.

Whistler: Gondola + Roundhouse Lodge

The food an the view is SO worth. I mean, look at those mountains. Look at that snow.

Ok, back to food.

The Roundhouse lodge, which is at the very top of the lift, has such amazing food. Apparently, they serve different food every day; I think the special for the day I went was steak/ham? I'm vegetarian anyways, so it doesn't apply to me, lol. I really wish I could have food like this every day.

Whistler: The Whistler Tea House

This place is pretty adorable. :3
It's also pricey, hahaha. Still, drinking good quality iced tea with such hot weather feels amazing. Everything on the menu is pocket change anyways.

I got the mint ginger tea, and my friend got the hibiscus tea.

Whistler: Mongolie Grill

When I heard that my parents wanted to go here for a friend's birthday, I was worried that the place would be too hot (especially since Whistler was 30 C aka 86 F).

However, it was nice and air conditioned. I actually started feeling cold.
Like any other Mongolian grill, you pile up your ingredients in a bowl, add sauce, and then give it to a cook who will fry your meal into deliciousness. I used panang curry as my sauce :P

I also ordered a Canadian Shirley Temple. I'm surprised that they included Mocktails in their menu; usually, I have to ask for drinks with no alcohol. They serve American and Canadian Shirley Temple too (which I never knew about). Apparently, the Canadian version includes orange juice while the American version doesn't.

My friend's birthday ice cream! There was fudge in the middle :P None of us could finish it because we were so full, lol.

Whistler: Portobello

Not the cheapest place to go to, but the price isn't too bad. This place is tucked inside the Fairmount hotel at Whistler. Portobello is kind of like an upgraded cafe; the choices are nutritious, and the food is pretty fresh and on point.

I got a red bell pepper panini served with the curried cauliflower chickpea salad. Much yum, much yum.

Whistler: Root Beer Float with Lucia Gelato and Bundaberg Root Beer

The moment I saw both of these at the store, I was like "three words: root beer float."

On my rafting trip, the guide recommended Lucia gelato, which was a local gelato company based in Whistler. Apparently, it's pretty popular, so my little brother was determined to get it.

I saw some good quality root beer at the store too (made with cane sugar), so I was like...yo, let's make some floats.

You can REALLY taste the difference between this and a cheap root beer float. It's sweeter and richer. No regrets.

Whistler: Milestones

This was my first time at Milestones. It's also a chain. Woopwoop.
I really like the variety and the nutritional value of each dish. In other words, most options include different ingredients from different food groups. As a vegetarian, I had a lot to choose from. I went with the penne pasta.
As for price, it is on the expensive side; the portions aren't that big, and you do have to pay more than $10. However, I would say that the quality is definitely there.

To be honest, I couldn't even finish what I had. I have a surprisingly small stomach -__-

My little brother got some smoked salmon.

Whister: La Cantina

This place reminded me of La Taqueria back in Vancouver. Now that I've been to a place similar to La Taqueria, I can order properly without looking like a noob.

I got the four vegetarian street tacos...I don't remember exactly what they were, lol. There was fried tofu with sprouts, creamy mushroom, beans, and rice with veggies?

My little brother got tacos with meat.

They also serve burritos and other Mexican entrees if you prefer those instead. It's also a gluten-free friendly place.

Whister: Cow's

According to our camp organizer, Cow's is the best ice cream in Whistler, and arguably one of the best in the world. Yeah, I'm pretty happy I went here. The ice cream was so soft and rich *___* I couldn't finish my ice cream. Getting one scoop is plenty.
Mint Oreo and Strawberry (I think)

Brownie something, and...oh dear, I forgot. IT WAS GOOD.
The view is also nice. I could get used to this.

After one of my scheduled events, I went to get a burrito at Dups Burritos. They are REALLY good, but they're small-ish, and it takes forever to make since they don't have enough workers. Even though this almost made me late to rehearsal, it was worth it.

One night (or should I say morning), I was hungry...so I had me some cerealz.
