Before we all left for Whistler, we grabbed some brunch/lunch/idk anymore along the way at Smak. This place is vegetarian and gluten-free friendly, and they're located in the northwestern part of downtown Vancouver.
Stopped by Milestonessssssssssssss; one of the gluten-free and vegetarian friendly places in Whistler.
Portobello is pretty awesome. It's pretty hipster and trendy, and the food is delisshh. This is my vegetarian burger with coleslaw.
My brother's chowder.
There's a few good pizza places in Whistler as well, such as Avalanche and Misty Mountain. This pizza place was called Gnarly Roots, which doesn't have as many options to choose from, but the quality is still very good. The dough is perfectly crunchy and soft at the same time.
There's also an Old Spaghetti Factory in Whistler. It's like an upgrade Olive Garden, so you do pay more but each person has a lot of food included. The bread and the garlic butter is really good; we finished two orders of bread. You get a choice of soup or salad, then your entree (which many of us couldn't finish), and then ice cream and tea. I don't have a picture of the ice cream, but it was a small scoop :P
Whistler also has the best ice cream in Cow's, which has a gazillion flavors. It's more worth it to get a double scoop and share it with someone. The only complaint I have is that each scoop is super tiny ... -__- I ordered birthday cake and bubblegum. I would caution getting the bubblegum because there are pieces of bubblegum candy that I don't recommend swallowing...(and I totally swallowed them).
For lunch one day, we were looking for another gluten-free place, so we decided to go to Sidecut in Four Seasons Hotel. This place is super expensive....every dish is pretty much $20, and the portion isn't much.
My brother ordered oysters....oh my god why.
This is my friend's gluten-free sandwich with a salad.
I tried to order one of the cheaper options, which was this vegetarian flatbread with artichokes and arugula. To be honest, I wasn't completely impressed with it since I've had similar tasting flatbreads that were much cheaper...but it wasn't bad either. I guess high end food just doesn't really do it for me.
