Old Stuff is Good Stuff: Pi[e] R Squared, Ike's Cafe, Seedlings, Stir It Up, Mercante, Pearl Fever, Uppercase

Just a potpourri of common places at UBC.
Went to Pi[e] R Squared because one day...I wanted crappy food that was cheap. xD They have pretty interesting options; it's classic Western-styled pizza (thick pizzas with lots of cheese), but the toppings are always different every day. I even heard that there's cheeseburger pizza :O I just got a simple margherita pizza and a pesto pizza.

Simple pasta from Ike's Cafe. Needed a quick lunch while doing my biology homework :P Ike's is so convenient for the studious people of Irving K Library.

Another lunch at Seedlings. Sometimes, the portions are a hit or miss; that day, I didn't get as much as I hoped for :/ Still, the ingredients never fail to amaze me. Sometimes, they have different vegetables. That day, they added beets to the rice bowls.
Rice bowl from Stir It Up cafe in Buchanan. This is where I sometimes get a quick dinner before rehearsals in the Chan Centre. Pretty cheap, and always filling. It's just simple and satisfying, and they always have something different. This one had mushroom and other vegetables with curry.

Caesar salad at Mercante. It's fun to pour the sauce and shake the living daylight out of the cup :) The result is a nicely coated salad <3

Stopped by Pearl Fever for some tea. Sometimes, they put a little too much sugar. I asked for boba, because hot boba is actually quite satisfying; sometimes if it's too cold, it gets too hard. If it's hot, it's easier to chew.

This is a seasonal salad from Mercante. It comes with feta cheese, strawberries, arugula, and balsamic vinaigrette. The flavors are quite complimentary; the strawberries are slightly tangy, the cheese is smooth, and the vinaigrette is sweet and slightly sour.
Rain or Shine has awesome seasonal flavors that are worth a try. I got the seasonal apple cider sorbet and the brittle. The sorbet is vegan, and it has a nice apple cider aftertaste that's not too strong. The brittle is pretty amazing; it includes bits of brittle that give a contrasting crunch. My med student bud (maybe I should just call him medbud, idk) has a habit of always getting mint ice cream...so he got mint ice cream, lol.

Uppercase doesn't have their vegetarian breakfast bagel anymore, so I got their new vegetarian omelet wrap. It's very watery because of the tomatoes inside, but it's still not bad. It's just kind of messy to eat.

Got a parfait from Seedlings for a late breakfast. There are so many nuts and seeds, and there's already thick yogurt; it looks small, but all that protein makes this really filling.
