Vancouver + Redmond + Bellevue

We had to visit Vancouver for business, sooo...we took a weekend trip and ate some food.
Peninsula at Oakridge is slightly $$, but yolo. These mango avocado rolls were bomb. Gotta make my own now :P
I've never seen radish cakes served like this before. Usually they're quite oily, and they're equally fried on each side. This version has one really crispy side, and they come with whipped cream. That was an interesting addition. I can't say that it added a lot, but it wasn't bad.
This is their super small serving of sticky rice with wild rice. Aiyah, duh money.
They at least have durian mochi. They're small, but hey, durian is durian. Yummmm.
We met up with family friends and decided to try this Korean restaurant called The Kitchen, which has really good reviews. I was not disappointed. Although side dishes are not plentiful, the food was sooooo good. I only got a tofu bibimbap, and I was in heaven. I ate everything so fast, yumyumyum.

The kimchi that they serve here is really good as well. I feel like this is one Korean place where you don't have to come with a group of people. Everything is portioned well, and besides, they have a policy of placing 18% if 6+ people come.

I reunited with some Bellevue friends (I haven't seen one of them in about 5 years :O ) We had some sort of good food (pricey), and bubble tea, and good talks :)

Tapioca Express, the home of UW people.

This is what I ordered at Foodshion, which was honestly overpriced. I do have to give them props for creativity. They have peanut sushi rolls and avocado and sun-dried tomato.

This was their miso soup.

My parents and I tried out Ramen Yoshi, which was a really cheap Ramen place in the Bel-Red area. They only have one vegetarian option for me, sooo...
It's not authentic, but I didn't hate this place. There's something special about certain cheap Asian foods; its like its own category.

My old close friend reunited in Redmond, and we grabbed some lunch and ice cream together :D She's vegan, so eating together is convenient. She got the vegan cherry chocolate ice cream from Molly Moon's, and I got the summer blueberry lemon custard.

For lunch, we ate al Belle Pastry. She got the same sandwich as me, minus the tomato soup. The sandwich was sun-dried tomato with artichokes. So crispy, so yummy...so messy, lol.
