Family friend outings, my favorite :)
I've been to Bangkok Basil before, and it's quite good. It's a little on the pricey side, but nothing is outrageously expensive. Plus, the quality, taste, and portion is there, so the prices seem well-deserved.
They have really good Thai iced tea. I've had mostly okay Thai iced tea, really bad Thai iced tea (powdered stuff), and now this Thai iced tea which was good <3 It was very real, and it was rich.
These were the vegetarian spring rolls, which tasted really fresh. I like that crispy, fresh texture. This appetizer is Sankiupo's nightmare, lmao; peanuts and raw food. Here are some lettuce wraps. I love lettuce wraps; it makes it more fun to shove things into your mouth :D
A fish dish, I dunno what it was >__> enjoy this fish instead >))))*3
This was basically almost like Chinese kway teow (basically fried long and flat noodles), and they added tofu and broccoli.
More stuff that I can't eat :( But I did try the crispy basil, which was amazing :D I wanna fry my basil like that.
No visit to a Thai place is complete without curry! Thai curry is amazing; there's so many different types and they're so flavorful. I believe this was the Panang curry? I wanted the Massaman curry, but it had peanuts in it :( oh well, curry is curry.
My family and I had to visit the eye doctor at the Microsoft Commons, so we ate lunch there :) This is Mayuri, which has a pretty cheap buffet ($9). The food is actually really good, it's like, upgraded college food <3
This is the rice pudding and a samosa.
I haven't been to Korean Palace in a long time, so my family and I went. Still the same good Korean place that I remember.
The dish in the middle is one of my favorites; it's basically scrambled eggs in a stone bowl, which is so simple to make. It's delicious. We didn't order omurice during this visit, but their omurice was really good too. I also remember a time when they used to serve complimentary pumpkin porridge, which was just heaven for me. They don't do that anymore though :(
