Aphrodite Cafe & Green Moustache ~~ Work Gathering, Sustainable dining

My boss invited me to an end of the year gathering and paid for this expensive meal (thank you so much!) The food is super filling, and it's not too heavy either (except the desserts x_x)

This is the brie melt, which is basically brie cheese (the strips that look like onions are actually cheese), basil, and tomato on multi-grain bread. The flavors were super rich; you could taste the subtle sweetness from the tomatoes, the fragrant basil, and the creamy brie. I was surprised at how soft it was, because there was crusty cheese at the bottom...so I thought it would be as hard as toast. If you look below, I could cleanly cut everything with a butter knife :D so convenient.

Now, the pie...which was the cafe's specialty, and my death. x___x I got he chocolate banana cream pie <3 Except I scooped off all the whipped cream on the top...I mean, there's already chocolate mousse >___> (please don't judge me). The adorable powdered-flower is made of cinnamon and sugar; dipping a spoonful in it is delish O___O I advise you to share this beauty with friends because I could not finish....I ate all the bananas at the bottom, the chocolate dipped banana at the top, and most of the mousse...I couldn't force myself to eat the chocolate bits because I was too full.

Since Green Moustache is right next door, I got some smoothies for my friend. The one on the left is The Hook, which is basically a chocolate smoothie <3<3 It has cocoa, mint, goji berries, banana, honey, and almond mylk. The other is called The Einstein, and has strawberries, banana, vanilla bean, chia, maca (a root; it's also called Peruvian ginger), almond mylk, and honey.
