Chef Hung Taiwanese Beef Noodle House

It's kind of ironic to go to a beef noodle house when I'm pescetarian...but despite the title, they do serve vegetarian alternatives by substituting the beef broth for clear or mushroom broth (I don't even like mushrooms, but the broth was still fine). Before I went pescetarian, I used to order the braised beef and tomato with flat noodles. The beef was very soft and not disgustingly chewy, and the tomato soup was light and flavorful. That night, I ordered two things: seasonal vegetables with mushroom broth and flat noodles, and green tea shaved ice with grass jelly. Although they also serve thin, clear, and vermicelli noodles, I personally love the flat noodles because they're hand-pulled and thick; it has a texture similar to thick pasta. The shaved ice is amazing; it's like light-flavored ice cream, but the texture is fluffy. It was like...eating a mouthful of green clouds...and grass jelly haha.
