Study Buddies...? Burnaby, Commercial Drive (Kensington), Mount Pleasant

Went to study (not) with Pizza Guy at Tealips :P (Jk, I didn't study at all).

I got the avocado sandwich and soup combo. The sandwich was pretty nice; the avocado was nice and ripe, the bread was super crunchy, and the lettuce was pretty fresh. The soup was not that amazing...tasted like canned stuff. Plus, it was chicken soup .__. I forgot to let them know that I'm vegetarian.

We went across the street for some sweets, and I got two gingerbread cookies with pistachios and two buckwheat quinoa cookies for Fatmine and myself. The buckwheat cookie was kind of dry, but I liked both anyways :P

Matchsticks looked like a super hipster place that I had to visit, so I went. I was super tired that morning, so I ordered a cute latte (the coffee was super strong), and a croissant for Fatmine.

Fatmine and I also went to Prado Cafe :D Oh man, this place is so great. This is Fatmine's pecan, honey, and ricotta cheese waffle. I tried a little; the cheese works so well with the honey. It really balances everything out.

I ordered the vegetarian breakfast wrap, which comes with salsa and sour cream. It smelled and tasted a bit like curry, and the egg and chickpeas were really tasty with the curry. Honestly, I could've ate it without the sauce, but I love sour cream and salsa :D

Cartem's Donuterie was also nearby, so...why not :P This place has really good quality donuts. The batter tastes pretty wholesome, and the flavors are always a surprise. Fatmine and I got a root beer float donut :O It really did taste like root beer, I was amazed.
I think this was the salted caramel? Yummmmmmm
And I think this was the earl grey donut, or lavendar...all I remember was that it had flower petals.
