Pho Hoa: Nostalgia

I remember when I used to come here after swim practice to eat dinner...my brothers and I had Tae Kwon Do after eating. I'm pretty happy that this place is still up and running. Plus, they've added Jazen Tea :D the combo is the best deal; you get Jazen tea and pho for about $10. However, the vegetable pho isn't one of the pho options for the combo :( oh well.

Tea Republik

Tea republik is great if you want "realness". They use real leaves and spices, which is why making the drinks takes extra long. The wait is worth it <3

I got a ginger iced tea :) It had the perfect amount of kick. Santiupo ordered an elephant chai (they have different chai teas :D ), my dad had...passion fruit? Guava?? My mom got hot mango tea.

Eltana Bagels

At one point, Santiupo and I were interning at a music camp. We were asked to play with and supervise campers during our trip to the EMP museum; for lunch, we all went to the Seattle Armory. The shortest line that we found was for the Eltana bagels. They were really good except...they were kind of expensive. I mean, $7 for a bagel...aiyah.

Santiupo got a smoked salmon bagel, and I got an egg salad bagel.

Starbucks: Earning Rewards and New Food

Here is just a collection of different times I went to Starbucks. I got a caramel macchiato just so I could earn 4 reward stars :D

This is their new edamae humus wrap. It comes with flaxseed crackers and roasted tomato sauce. :P

I got a spinach and feta wrap using my $1 off coupon.

Summer BBQ with Family Friends

After my Fatketeer reunion, I came to my dad's friends house. The people that were there were my dad's badminton Boston buddies (BBB's), lol.

Although we arrived late, the food was still really nice. On the bottom left was a cucumber and tomato salad with vinaigrette and dill. The giant piece of vegetable above the salad is a grilled eggplant. The rest...is pretty self explanatory. I really liked what they served here; it felt like a typical summer barbecue.

The moment that (I) have been waiting for: The Three Fatketeers Reunite!!!

This event happened ages ago...Sorry for the infrequent updates x_x

The three fatketeers finally reunited! We decided to visit Seattle in honor of Fatmine's birthday <3 First, we went to Molly Moon's :P Their ice cream is phenomenal. I got vegan cherry chocolate and lavendar. I think Fatsteria had honey lavendar, and Fatmine ordered salted caramel.

I was super sad when Boom noodle closed :( So, we decided to go to Joey's kitchen...worst idea -__-
The cheapest item on the menu was the "Korean" cauliflower. It was $10, not including tip. Worst decision of my life -__- The bowl was the size of a kids meal, I swear. The server also told us that there were chopsticks if we wanted to use them. I'm not sure if he was trying to be culturally attentive, but it made me feel kind of weird. I used a fork anyways.

After that uncomfortable experience, we went to OASISISISIISS <3 This place is my favorite. Unfortunately, the Oasis near the University of Washington doesn't serve durian smoothies; you can only get your hands on those if you visit the Oasis near Uwajimaya in International District. I got a green tea slush, Fatsteria got a red bean slush, and Fatmine got a yogurt milk tea.

XO: Where My Family Always Brings Their Friends

So, my dad and his badminton Boston buddies (BBB's) came over to visit...this is the restaurant we go to whenever an Asian family from out of town visits us, lol.

It was also to celebrate my dad's belated birthday; one family brought a surprise cake :D It's not pictured here though; I don't think my dad will appreciate his face on my blog.

To describe this place, it's pretty much a typical Chinese restaurant. They have spring rolls, chow mien, Chinese pancakes and vegetables, etc. For dessert, I ordered a ginger milk pudding :P
